Mark D. Schaftlein — Chief Executive Officer Director
Mark Schaftlein began his association with Nacel Energy, in February 2009, in an advisory capacity focused upon improving the Company’s management, financial and corporate structures. Mr. Schaftlein is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Capital Consulting, Inc., a firm which for 8 years, has assisted public companies in the areas of capital sourcing and business strategy. In addition to his appointment as Nacel Energy’s Chief Financial Officer in July 2009, Mr. Schaftlein has also previously served in officer and director capacities with other public companies including Far East Energy Corporation and SP Holdings (later Organic to Go). From 1982 to 2000, Mr. Schaftlein held a number of management positions in the banking industry, initially with Citicorp through 1992, then Fleet Financial, National Lending Center and Westmark Group Holdings from 1995 to 2000. During his tenure at Westmark, Mr. Schaftlein served as CEO and helped it achieve $100M in corporate financing. Mr. Schaftlein earned a degree in Business Administration from Western Kentucky University in 1980.


Timothy H. Simons — Director
Tim Simons has been involved in the wind power industry since 1996. He Serves on the Upper Great Plains Transmission Coalition (formed by the Governors of 3 states) to address electrical transmission problems in order to better utilize coal, hydro, and wind resources, and serves as co-chairman of the Transmission Bottleneck Committee. Tim spent over 5 years on active duty in the U.S. Army, and worked in Europe for Robert Bosch GmbH, as well as other companies. He has also spent over 10 years as a teacher in the Mandan/Bismarck, ND, area. Tim attended graduate school at Creighton University, and is a graduate of the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA.


Murray S. Fleming — Director
Mr. Fleming was appointed as a Director of Nacel Energy Corporation on February 6, 2006. From February of 2005, to the present day, Mr. Fleming has been a principal of BTB Management LLC, an organization which delivers economic analysis, market research, business planning, capital sourcing and investor relations services. Mr. Fleming earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with formal concentrations in Economics & Environmental Studies from the University of Victoria in May of 1986. Mr. Fleming additionally serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Crownbutte Wind Power Inc. of Mandan ND, a publicly-traded company, and RYOX Corporation, a privately-held mining company.


Dr. Terry Pilling — Ph.D. Chief Operating Officer
Terry Pilling is responsible for operations, meteorological analysis, scheduling, construction subcontracting, Geo-technicals, transmission, interconnection, and site construction management for all Crownbutte projects. Terry received his B.Sc. in Physics and Engineering Physics at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, his M.Sc. in Nuclear Physics at the Saskatchewan Accelerator Laboratory, and his Ph.D. in Particle Physics at North Dakota State University. Terry holds a professorship at North Dakota State University Department of Physics and has held research positions at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna, Russia, the Institute of Theoretical and Experimental Physics in Moscow, Russia, and the Joint Astronomy Center on Mauna Kea, Hawaii.


Michael Biddick — Investor Relations
Michael Biddick manages Nacel Energy’s investor outreach initiatives and its presence throughout the internet financial community. Mr. Biddick is a graduate of San Diego State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance.
